Complimentary Letters I can happily say that Midlands Forest Lodge was one of the most pleasant conference venues I have ever experienced. It is a serene setting (especially on that particular day with wisps of Midlands mist curling over the hills!) and was ideal for our meeting (which, appropriately enough was on the topic of indigenous trees!). The staff really looked after us extremely well - everything was arranged as agreed upon beforehand, and their hospitality was exemplary. The lunch was superb home-style cooking (compliments to the chef!), and the giant muffins at tea were a challenge that most delegates were happy to take on! Many of the conference participants commented to me on the great venue, so I am passing those compliments on. The overall experience was a very memorable one, and I will not hesitate in recommending Midlands Forest Lodge to anyone as a wonderful, conference / workshop venue with a difference. On a cold, bleak Midlands evening, our room at the Midlands Forest Lodge was more than welcoming. The accommodation is SUPERB – exceptionally furnished and immaculately kept. Two thumbs up! Must come again sometime.
My folks actually went for a night for their 50th wedding anniversary. I dealt with Sabine via email, and she was really efficient and friendly, and kindly organized a bottle of champagne for my folks on their arrival. My folks thoroughly enjoyed their stay, and were also impressed with Clint in the restaurant.
We had a great time at Midlands Forest Lodge and will definitely be returning in the future and have also recommended it to others! We now have a baby and wonder if we would still be able to stay at the Lodge with an infant? (comments from Midlands Forest Lodge: Infants are most welcome)
